06-17, 3:15 AM I have physically disconnected and reconnected the touchpad connector from the motherboard and Ubuntu detects the touchpad correctly, BUT after rebooting it fails to detect it again.
I tried to disable the touchpad through the menu but it is hopeless: There is a mouse installed but the touchpad is still working touchpad-indicator > Disable touchpad.tags: disable, synaptic, syndaemon, touchpad, typing, ubuntu I think one of the most annoying incident while typing in a laptop is the have the mouse cursor do all kind of wired thing, such as sending your typing cursor away, erasing things that you dont want to erase and so many more….syndaemon is a program that monitors keyboard activity and disables the touchpad when the keyboard is being used.
